Starting something new

 Hello all,

I thought this would be fun, as well as a good learning adventure in my life.  I really don't know what the heck I'm doing but that's okay I'll figure it out.

I'm just getting started with this blog, so when I really need it for anything coming up, it will be ready to write in for others to read.

I like to do many things. I love food and know lots about preparing many dishes. I eat just about everything, I can't think of much I don't like. I'm very curious about the diverse tastes of cultural foods around the world. Spicy foods attract me a lot....hot chili peppers do wonders! I make my own toffee and caramel sauce....so much better than anything you can buy in the stores.  I don't think you can beat anything with cream, butter, and sugar in it.  It may not seem like it, but I do eat in moderation.

I've traveled around the world and hope to do more soon.  I've lived in many states from the East Coast to the West Coast, I found that wherever I was living at the time was just fine with me. Of course there are positives and negatives in all places, but I tried to focus on the positive elements. France is a special place for me.  I took French in school, and I still practice it now. I lived in Europe for three years and I hope to go there again to live for awhile......that would be fun.

As much as I like to travel, I also love to stay home.  I like my home and my garden.  I'm perfectly happy doing nothing for hours and days.  Hanging out in bed in the morning with my laptop and a good mug of coffee, creating a tasty meal, painting a colorful picture, reading a good book, planting greens in my Earthboxes, talking with friends....these are the nothings I love to do.

I workout each morning at the gym for a couple of hours vainly fighting off the ravages of time and gravity on my body.  I don't always want to go, but I do.  It's like they say, once there it's not so bad! I don't see many of my women friends there, but I do see some of the men I know working up a sweat. We all look pretty hot and frazzled, not anything like the workout shows on TV where the people look very fit and oh so beautiful in the latest apparel.

Well, this is a good start, of just ramblings, trying out this "blog" thing.  I doubt if anyone will ever see it since I don't plan on telling anyone...well, maybe I'll tell one person, but that's all.

Until next time,
mem
